Song Playing is called "Everything I do"
I chose this song for all my Fur Family members
because that is what they do.
Everything they do for us, they do for love
and everything I do for them, I do for love.

Welcome to Moochie's Pug World
(The pug that the vet says is really a Rotweiller in a pug body)

Moochie had cancer and we could no longer stand to watch her suffer. We continually asked the vet if she was in pain and he kept telling us that she wasn't. Although the vet said that she was not in pain, she had so much trouble breathing that we all decided to end her suffering. She went with a smile with all of us around her crying.

A Little Bit about me
First, you should know that I had to make my female human take down my other page. I knew that she would get everything wrong and also that it was from a human's viewpoint and I wanted this page to be from my viewpoint.

So now this page is about me and from me. So you want to know about me,well that's okay, but since I'm not a big dog, you'll only need to know a "Little Bit" about me. That's a pug joke.
I live with my humans (who I've had to train, but they've worked out well).
In case you don't recognize the breed - I am a PUG.
My vet calls me "The Rotweiller in a Pug body".

I guess that's because although I love everyone, I do not think that I am small, so I attack all the big dogs everywhere. This lady walks two big Rotweillers down our street every day and I let them know that I am just as good as they are by telling them so. They don't like to hear it because they bark back, but I don't stop reminding them that I could take them if I had to.

The female human always saves them by bringing me in. She's afraid that they'll come over and I'll attack them and kill them. She's right...I would do it. Pugs are very brave and so I know that I could hurt them if given a chance.

My female human makes remarks that I don't like but that's because she doesn't know how tough I really am. She's always saying things like "Don't you know how small you are?"

Pugs are not small....we are big dogs in a tight skin (another pug joke).

My Personality

I am adorable and I love all people and animals (as long as they know that I'm the boss). I was bought as a gift for my female human and boy, neither my male or female human knew a lot about my breed when they got me. At the same time my male human bought me, he and the female human started to shop for my needs. I was laughing because I could see that they were not going to be problems since they knew nothing about me.

They bought me the same food that I had been on since I started eating,a bed and lots of toys. They thought I would have everything I needed but they really didn't know anything about pugs. I heard the male human tell my female human that his grandmother had one and that they are good dogs and don't bark.
Boy, I don't know what kind of whimpy pug his grandmother had because I'm a born killer.

Now they have a sign outside the door that says "This house is guarded by an Attack Pug". They have finally recognized that I am a brave dog. They are just starting to know me. I first had to teach them that I was nothing like the whimpy pug the male human's grandmother had...so I proceeded to bark.

I now bark lots and I guard the house. It's my job and I do it to protect this human family. Boy, it's a lot of work but I do it out of love. I have to bark at everyone who walks by, buses, cars, people, dogs, cats and all the birds that make noises. I make sure that they all know that I'm here and I'm guarding this family.

After my first week with them, they finally got a book on pugs. Boy, I don't know what made them wait so long, I had already eaten two beds and all the wiring in the kitchen. I also chewed all the bottoms off the cupboard doors and did some damage to the main kitchen door. They should have known not to lock me in the kitchen but until they got the book, they didn't know I was a chewing machine. They bought the book to see how to train me, but I didn't need a book on how to train them. I just knew. The female human was much easier to train than the male human, but I understand that this goes for all male humans...they are all hard to train. It is the female humans who train more easily. They bought me more chew toys thinking that this would end my chewing, but it did not.

The female human went out and bought big metal pipes and thick rubber hosing for her wires in the kitchen - they attach to that ringing thing that she answers and talks into. I was having fun eating one of those a day,but she didn't like having to keep on buying them. She also bought me another bed, which I immediately chewed up again. I was getting worried because the more I did, the more the female human would ask questions about me.She read the book and found out that one of our qualities is chewing and we like it. We do it a lot.She bought me more toys and I chewed them as well. She wasn't learning fast, but she was learning.  I knew that she had figured me out when she came home with new items that I didn't like. She had bought a new toy that I still cannot chew through. They were learning about me.

They won a vacation and so I had to be sent to a boarding kennel. I didn't like this, but I had no choice. I had to stay there for 5 days and I was very upset.
When they returned, the humans who ran the kennel told my humans to buy me a cage. This would stop me from chewing. I did not like those bad people from the kennel telling my humans that, as this would mean I could not chew on anything while in there. They even told them to put a blanket instead of the nice big soft foam beds they had been buying me. I still chew the blanket (just so they know that I still can chew).

The female human was nice at this point though. The kennel people told her to buy a small carrying cage and that when I was trained, she could remove the top and I would feel secure in my own space (a bit small if she had listened to them).
She bought me a big big cage. It has lots of room, but I can't chew anything any more.
When I'm out of the cage, I'm with them and too busy playing. They also make sure that the small humans here pick up their toys so now I have nothing to chew except two things that I can't chew through. I have a rope (thick one) and a tough toy that are undestructable since I've worked on them for months and can't damage them.

All the people that see me love me. Whenever I'm out for a walk, so many humans come up and pat me and talk to me. I like this since I like people a lot. I get so excited when humans come and pat me and praise me. They know that I'm adorable and they say so. I know I'm adorable, but it's always nice to hear. People don't seem to know many pugs because they always say that they've never seen one, or they haven't seen one in years. Some people don't even know what breed I am....they just know I'm cute. Humans are funny, I know all the dog breeds and I also know all the human breeds. There are three type of humans - male humans (harder to train), female humans(the easiest to train) and the small humans - they call children. I like them lots because they like to play and so do I. The small humans that live here always take me for walks and out to play. They also play in the house with me and I love that.

How to train the humans

Well, my first task was to train all these humans but some are harder to train than others. I first trained the female human (who was really easy).Apparently she's sick so she doesn't have much energy and I do, so I can out last her if we have a disagreement. We have lots. She took me to the vets to get some medicine for a few things. The little humans had taken me for a walk and I met a cat and we had a fight. Although I won, the cat scratched my eye and I couldn't open it, so she rushed me to the vets. He looked at my eye and stated that it had been scratched and I would need drops three times a day. Like I was going to let them give me drops three times a day. I wonder if the vet knows about pugs, because he gave her the medicine and I knew that I would easily win this one.

First, I had to let the female human know that I only would accept nice touching from her...such as patting, scratching and rubbing behind my eyes or especially if she rubs my tummy. I had to let her know that all other touching was NOT ALLOWED, so when she tried to put the drops in my eyes, I gave her Lesson 1...
Do not touch unless I want it.
I did not want the drops and since she tires easily it was easy to out manouver her and eventually she ended up on the floor with me on top of her. I think she learned rule no. 1 then. She no longer tries to give me stuff alone. Now she brings in help or takes me to the vets.
I'm not sure if I should have taught her that rule since now she gets help for everything. She's tried to give me this special medicine to stop heart worms in the summer. The first summer, she bought some nice stuff and I didn't mind taking it at all. It tasted like a treat. Last summer though she bought some other medicine and it didn't taste good, so I made sure that she wouldn't buy it again. She needed help to give me that every month,so I know that this summer she'll buy the kind I like. I take it easier and it doesn't make her tired. See how easy she was to train.

Another thing I like to do to the female human is to tire her out whenever I can. I love to be chased and although I know that she's calling me, I sneak up really close and just when she thinks she can grab me - I run away. She doesn't have much energy and can only chase me for a while before she tires and lays on the floor. At this point I usually come over and do what she wants. She's so tired by then that I usually get a treat just for coming over.

She tried to train me and although I understand and can do most of all of her commands like sit, come and stay, I seldom do it unless I feel the desire to. I have to continually let her know that I'm the boss and she's the human. She's gotten the message but the male human hasn't yet. I listen to him because his voice is stronger. The female humans voice is too soft for me to take seriously. She's had other dogs who were big dogs and listened to her but I am not ready to do that yet. Maybe when I'm older. I'm only t wo years old so I have lots of time to listen to commands later. I will behave better when I'm older and slower but for now, it's fun playing with the humans and teaching them tricks.

I've taught them to let me out when I want. I just pretend that I'll go to the bathroom in the house and they all run for the door. That was an easy trick to teach them.

I 've also taught them to feed me and give me water. I can give them a special look (pic of this look is with my pics) and the female human feels really guilty if she hasn't done it. This look also gets me to go out lots because if I know they're going out somewhere, I just give the look and suddenly I'm going with them.

I've had to teach them many things, and I am willing to teach other dogs on the training of humans. So if your human needs to be trained, please feel free to email me and I will send out my Training Book.

I've even trained the female human to understand my language. She's getting good at Dog Talk but she still needs to learn more.

I'm sure I'll be adding more because I will update you on any new training programs I have for my humans.

If you would like to e-mail me for advice on how to become the boss of the house....click here to contact me....I will be happy to share my knowledge with you.

E-Mail Moochie. I love mail and people, so I'll be thrilled to get mail.Only one flaw with mailing me though - I may eat it.

I also insists that everyone that visits this site sign the guestbook. My female human is like me...she loves people, but she likes to know when they've visited so please click and sign the guestbook.
Thanks...I and the humans appreciate it.

Pug Colors
Pugs come in two colors - the tan/black color that I am (which I consider to be the best) color but there is another color for pugs -Black.

Here is what a Black Pug looks like. As you can see, they are not as cute as I am, but they're okay.

This is a black pug.

Pug Facial Expressions

We pugs are well known for our cute facial expressions as well as a few other things. We are also well known for the noise we make when breathing or excited. Our Vet has a friend with three pugs and he told my female human that he can't stand watching TV over there because all 3 pugs lay on the back of the couch and he can't hear the TV over their breathing. :)

I used to do that to until the humans got new furniture. They don't let me on it but now I have three beds. One in every room that a human will be in. So I just cruise around the house all day taking naps everywhere the female human goes..

Below are some of the greatest pug facial expressions and each one gets better. :)

This should get me a
cookie!

You're going out and not
taking me?Oh, poor me!!

Aren't I Cute?
