Bewildered trying to fathom men
killing women and
children by the thousands, have
they no souls no remorse Hard to imagine such hatred and
fury, what causes them to commit such
butchery The earth slowly being ruined,
still mankind fails to heed the warning
signals What has to occur before we begin
to see what we are doing to ourselves and the life
around us The whole of humanity is an
insane beast, only showing brief glimpses of clear
thought The best of us who try to make a
difference are exterminated, mysteriously they
vanish The good is weeded out and done
away with while the greed filled continue to
dominate Children starving despite a
surplus of sustenance, the wealthy doing very little,
blinded by selfishness Caring more for their pet
animals, they ignore the plight of so many innocent
victims Men and women labour to escape
poverty while the well to do look for new ways to exploit
them About all of the pain and
suffering, we as individuals, can do little, we can only look
to ourselves Our heartache will not ease the
anguish of those less fortunate than
us We can only become aware and pray
that others do likewise, we control only
ourselves, that in itself an arduous
task Have faith in God, give in to the
fact that it is all part of His plan, we need not
understand His design We may only accept His will for
us, so we may grow closer to His
light Do what we know in our hearts is
fitting, for that is how He conveys His intention for
us Heed not the images of the mind
that try to bend and twist the
spirit Such influence only brings us to
the level of the oppressive, or to that of the
slayers of children Let God do His will and accept
from Him our responsibilities so we may help
bring about His design If there is something for us to
do to help ease the torment of others, He will let it
be known to us When his message is gone
unheeded, an opportunity for us to be of service to those who
need us is missed For He is the way, and through
His loving embrace only, can we be saved from
ourselves
